Drug Use/Drug Dealing in Broad Green

Good afternoon

You may recall that towards the end of last year the team were involved in the execution of a number of warrants across the ward to tackle the problem of both drug use and drug dealing and the anti-social behaviour that goes hand in hand with this. This resulted in a number of arrests and subsequent charges for drug possession and supply and the closure of two properties identified as being actively concerned in this activity. These remain closed to this date.

We are very keen to get feedback from local residents as to the impact this has had on the quality of life in the ward - have you seen a noticeable reduction in the number of drug users congregating in certain areas, has drug related antisocial behaviour reduced or are there any other areas that the issue may have moved to - or has there been no change at all.

Any feedback or opinion be-it positive or indeed negative is greatly appreciated and assist the team in planning our priorities so we can target the work we do in making the ward a safer place to both live and work in.
